Christmas Giving with Dare County Social Services

 

Join us in gathering stocking donations for the annual

Dare County Social Services Adult Christmas program. Stockings

are provided to older or disabled adults throughout Dare County,  including Hatteras Island. Suggested stocking stuffer items include (but are not limited to):  

 

• Toiletries (soaps, shampoo, conditioner, brushes/combs)

• Shaving Items

• Dental care items

• Nail care items

• Lotions (unscented preferred)

• Warm socks (including larger sizes)

• Night lights, especially light or motion activated

• Socks with grippy bottoms

• Games or adult coloring books

• Thermal tops and bottoms (varied sizes/men and women)

• Candies or snacks

• Lap blankets

 

Drop boxes will be located at the Hatteras Island Pet Resort in Rodanthe and the Rodanthe Thrift Store. Drop off will also be available at our Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 2 at the Community Building. Donations must be collected no later than December 3.

 

Dare County Social Services also sponsors a full Christmas gift program to many older or disabled adults whose holiday may need brightening.
