Applications for 2024 are due by April 1, 2024

 

Each spring, an application will be available via the Cape Hatteras Secondary School, via this website or by emailing rwscascholarship@gmail.com

 

Applicants are also required to complete a brief interview with the scholarship committee.

 

Scholarship funds can be used for continued education and career development after high school – be it university, community college, trade school/program or even transition to military duty. Applications are reviewed annually in the spring. Funds are distributed directly to the educational institution.  Each scholarship is $600.

 

There is a two-year eligibility window that begins the year the student graduates from high school. If a student does not apply in their first year of eligibility, they are invited to apply the second year.

 

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be a full-time resident of Rodanthe, Waves or Salvo or be the dependent of a full-time permanent resident.

 

• Graduate from high school in the designated year. 

 

• Complete an application form and brief interview.

 

If awarded during their first year of eligibility, a student can complete a brief application for their second year scholarship.
