For many years our Christmas tradition has been to host a Holiday Dinner at the beginning of every December. It was a time to come together as a community to share good food, tell stories and for our children to have an opportunity to see the big guy himself, Santa.

However the Covid pandemic and restrictions on indoor gatherings forced us to change our plans. We pivoted and out of that came the 1st Annual RWSCA Holiday Tree Lighting.

We were able to gather outdoors, and come together as a community but in a different way. We sang carols and enjoyed the wonderful music from Sam on Sax. There was hot chocolate and lots of yummy treats. Of course it wouldn't be a tri-village event if Santa himself didn't come riding in on a firetruck.

We look forward to this event becoming a holiday tradition for all of our community members and hope that it will be bigger and better each year.

If you would like to help with next years event please let us know.
