2022-2023

Three new scholarships were awarded by the RWS Civic Association on May 23, 2023 at the Cape Hatteras Secondary School (CHSS) Senior recognition event. Graduating seniors Lucas Blankenship (NC State University), Ansley Thompson (College of the Albemarle) and Gavin Thompson (East Carolina University) will all receive a $600 scholarship to support their further career development and education. Each student is also eligible to renew their scholarship next year for an additional $600.

CHSS Alumnus and past RWS-CA Scholarship winner Ian O'Neal presented the award. Ian now works as a teacher and coach at CHSS, where he coached all three recipients in soccer this past year.
